Appointments

Pioneer Counseling Services is open Monday thru Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM.  Please contact our main office at 307-789-7915 to schedule an appointment or as soon as you become aware of a situation which will prevent you from attending your scheduled sessions. If at all possible, please give us 24 hours notice so we may attempt to schedule an appointment with another individual. Our staff includes counselors, social workers, and case managers, all with varied backgrounds and areas of expertise.  Pioneer Counseling provides services on a scheduled basis and makes every effort to see you promptly at your scheduled appointment time.

Pioneer Counseling Services is a private not-for-profit agency governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is made up of Uinta County residents. It is our primary intention to serve you in a professional and efficient manner. Services are provided to you on a sliding fee scale, determined by income and family size. No one will be refused service based on race, color, religion, sex, ancestry, political affiliation, national origin or handicap. The following information concerning you rights and responsibilities are explained below. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. We make every effort to assess a fee for the services you receive, Services are available to anyone simply upon request.

We will see you in privacy and will keep information given to us confidential. The information you give us or even the fact that you are seen will not be shared with anyone unless you give us your written authorization to do so. Only in the following situations will we release information without your written authorization, as is required of us by law:

​

1. If you advise us of the fact that you are about to commit a crime

2. If you are abusing or neglecting children

3. If we are ordered by a judge to do so

4. If you are overtly suicidal or homicidal and so psychologically disabled that you constitute a threat to yourself or others

5. To authorized Federal and/or State personnel for the purpose of peer quality review and then only when those personnel sign a written oath of confidentiality

Please remember that very few people will ever be in a position where confidential information would be released without authorization.

Fees

Fees are based on income and ability to pay and are set at the time of admission. Individuals will be treated regardless of ability to pay.

Pioneer Counseling Services accepts all medical plans, health insurance, and participates in almost all Employee Assistance Programs in the region.
